With an average snow fall of 200 inches Winter offers downhill skiing at four major ski hills only minutes away. The cross country skier can ski the Montreal Trails through a spectacular wooded area from the front door of THE INN. The crystal clear lakes, fresh clean air, hiking and biking trails through dense tall pines will delight the avid sport and outdoor enthusiast. In summer experience Lake Superior sailing. The beauty of Fall color is unsurpassed. The city of Montreal was started as a lumber town in the 1880's. The mining industry of this area started about 1884. THE INN is part of the company owned mining town now on the National Register of Historic Places. The rooms are furnished with comfortable family antiques and period furniture. Each unit has two double beds and a private bath. A loft unit for families and small groups sleeps six above and four below and has two baths.
