This 1850 colonial overlooks the picturesque harbor in the historic district of Marblehead, yachting capital of America. Guests enjoy waterviews from the wood-paneled and beamed living room with fireplace, the period dining room, sunny breakfast porch and deck. Antique furnishings and period wallpapers enhance the charm of this comfortable, quiet home. A large guest room with antique mahogany twin beds overlooks the harbor. The romantic double-bed guest room with antique mirrored dressing table has a garden view. A generous continental breakfast includes fresh fruit, juice, homebaked breads and muffins, choice of cereals. Harborside House offers warmth and hospitality in gracious surroundings.
Susan Livingston has lived in her home for over thirty years, raising three children. It became one of Marblehead’s first B&B in 1985. Susan is a semi-retired professional dressmaker specializing in weddings. She as been active in the Historical Society and a local garden club. Recreationally, she is a nationally ranked Master swimmer.
Marblehead is a picturesque seacoast town on Boston’s historic North Shore. Its winding streets are lined with houses which reflect its history. The renown harbor is the focal point of the town; from the numerous parks and beaches, one can watch the constant activity of boats of all kinds. Only a short walk from Harborside House are antique shops, art galleries, shops of local craftsmen, as well as a variety of dining choices to suit every taste bud and budget fresh seafood, gourmet Northern Italian, casual Mexican.
