Spahn'S Big Horn Mountain B & B, Big Horn, Wyoming
Spahn's Bighorn Mountian Bed and Breakfast is a towering log lodge and log guest cabins on a high pine-forested mountainside with deer, moose, eagles and turkeys on site. Spahn's is located in the Big Horn Mountains adjacent to one million acres of public forest land with a one hundred mile view extending across Wyoming into Montana and the Crow Indian Reservation. Host Ron Spahn is a geologist and former Yellowstone Park Ranger, and is a co-founder and past president of the Wyoming bed and breakfast association. His wife Bobbie is a nurse, and their children Heather and Eric are college students.
Spahn's guest rooms and cabins are all private bath, queen size bed facilities decorated in comfortable western style. Gracious mountain breakfasts are served with binoculars, family style, in the dining room or on the deck. Steak cookouts are scheduled two evenings a week, with a spectacular four-wheel drive wildlife safari into the mountains after dinner. Guests often socialize with each other and with the Spahns, particularly at breakfast-time and in the evening on the deck as twilight spreads across the landscape.
