Amadeus House, Lenox, Massachusetts
Lenox Massachusetts Bed and Breakfast near Clark Art Institute
Amadeus House offers friendly hospitality at a comfortable Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the beautiful Berkshire hills of Western Massachusetts.
The inn is a restored Victorian on a quiet residential street of grand homes in the center of historic Lenox village. Superb restaurants, intriguing shops and art galleries are a short walk away.
The Berkshire hills are famous as the summer cultural capital of the Northeast. Year-round activities include nearby museums and outdoor recreation.
Amadeus House has eight comfortable rooms: three large rooms, each with a queen-size bed, private bath and sitting area; two medium size rooms with private baths; two small rooms sharing one bath; and a spacious two-bedroom suite with full kitchen, bath and sitting room.
We serve a full, homemade breakfast each day, including fresh juices and fruit, home-baked muffins or breads, cereals and one hot dish, such as blueberry pancakes, orange waffles, or omelettes.
From late spring through early fall, we serve refreshments on the wraparound porch. During chillier weather, guests enjoy afternoon tea and classical music by fireside in the living room.
Country Inns magazine featured Amadeus House on the cover of its September/October 1995 issue, describing it as "low-key and immensely likable."
