Opened in 1971, the Hermitage Inn is the true description of an elegant, Vermont Country Inn. Nestled on 25 acres just off a quiet country lane, the views of the surrounding Green Mountains are dazzling.
The Hermitage has 15 guest rooms, each individually decorated with early 1900¹s New England Antiques. Each room is complete with a working fireplace and private bath. Rates include a full dinner and breakfast daily. Fourteen guest rooms are also available at the adjacent Brook Bound Lodge. Rates here include a continental breakfast daily.
Award winning continental cuisine featuring home raised gamebirds and fallow deer, is served nightly. Accompanying the menu is a 2,000 label wine list with 35,000-40,000 bottles in storage. The wine list has been awarded the renowned Wine Spectator ³Grand Award² yearly since 1984.
A variety of wines are also offered in the Wine & Gift Shop, where you can purchase cigars, homemade jams and maple syrup. The Hermitage Art Gallery exhibits a complete collection of Delacroix originals and lithographs. On the grounds enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, clay tennis courts, 500 acre release hunting preserve. 10 field sporting clays course, and 55km ski touring center. Lessons and rentals available.
