Outlaw Cabins, Lander, Wyoming
Log cabins on a western ranch in the Rocky Mountains offering quiet starlite nights.
The Outlaw Cabins are hand-crafted log cabins located on a historic working cattle ranch. The cabins are completely private with a small stream running by them. The Outlaw Cabins are less than ten minutes from Lander Wyoming, yet secluded and quiet. From the cabins you have a wonderful view of the Wind River Mountains up close and personal! You probably will have first hand close-up viewing of the wild-life in this area. There is a legend that four outlaws are buried on the ranch. At one time it was believed that one of them was Butch Cassidy, who frequented this area. He was later seen, alive and well.
There are two cabins available here on the ranch. The Outlaw is built of standing dead timber from the ranch. The Lawman is 119 years old, made of hand hewn logs on the outside with everything totally new on the inside. It was originally built by an old sheriff in the 1890's.If walls could talk you would hear some great stories!
The bedrooms in both cabins have queen sized log or antique beds with handmade quilts. Both cabins have lofts that are a child's dream. They have two very comfortable twin beds with cozy quilts. The lofts are also very suitable for another couple. Both have a comfortable living-dining room that opens onto a front porch that is great for relaxing in the cool shade. There are VCR's and DVD players in both cabins and free movies at the ranch house for your pleasure. Wireless Internet is available in both cabins. The kitchenetts are stocked with coffee, tea, cocoa, cereals, toaster pastries, juice, etc, for your breakfast pleasure. Due to the popularity of the Outlaw Cabins we like to rent for 2 or more nights. There is a swing set for the children to play on.Children are welcome!
There are beautifully landscaped lawns and flower gardens. There is a propane barbeque Grill and picnic tables to serve both cabins.
The Outlaw Cabin was featured in the July 1998 issue of COUNTRY EXTRA magazine.
The Outlaw is the best of two worlds. Old west charm and new west comfort!
