Oak House, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts

The Oak House, in the seaside town of Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard Island, offers island-history theme rooms, including two suites, most with water views and small balconies overlooking the sound. Everything you wanted in a B&B. Romantic and cozy, The Oak House is the perfect spot to renew your vows, and make new friends. Or just lay back and watch the world go by! Enjoy the charm of yesterday's lazy summer days, and the comfort of today. All guestrooms are furnished with antiques from one of the premier antique shops on the Vineyard, Past and Presents in Edgartown.

The Oak House was built in 1872, and renovated in the early 1900's as a summer home for Massachusetts Governor Claflin. Named for the oak paneling throughout its rooms, The Oak House has kept the fine tradition of the Victorian era in so many areas, you will think you are stepping back in time!.

Beautiful leaded-glass windows and a large sunporch filled with wicker rockers allow our guests to enjoy views of the white sandy beaches, blue ocean lapping on the shore, and sailboats passing slowly by to unknown destinations. The Oak House is the romantic center of Martha's Vineyard. Included in your rate is expanded continental breakfast and afternoon tea featuring home baked breads and sweets by Cordon Bleu-trained innkeeper Betsi Convery-Luce.

Remember, our motto is: "We're going to spoil you!"
